Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle Crossing Elizabeth Highway: Authorities A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a highway in Elizabeth on the early morning of Tuesday, Nov. 7, authorities said. The pedestrian was crossing the 1000 block of Spring Street across the Spring Lane Motel, Ruby Contreras, the public information officer for the City of Elizabeth said. Pedestrians are prohibited from crossing the highway, Contreras said. The driver remained on the scene and police determined no charges would be filed, Contreras said.
