Kids Can Improve Basketball Skills At Armonk Clinic ARMONK, N.Y. -- Fundamentally Sound Basketball Camp will hold two basketball clinics in September and October at the Church of St. Patrick's gymnasium in Armonk.The clinics are for boys and girls ages 8 to 14. Coaches Marshall Reiff and Marty Durkin will help participants improve their fundamentals of the game, such as shooting, passing and dribbling, building confidence, and taking their game to the next level. The Armchair Actors will read "The Remote" and "Waiting for the Matinee" by Eric Coble, "Animal Crackers" by Durant, and "Ladies at Play," an English translation of a Cuban play. Laura Navor Displays Artwork At East Fishkill Library HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- The East Fishkill Community Library will present an exhibit by artist Laura Navor throughout the month of September at the library's gallery wall.  Navor says that as a child she always had a pencil in her hand, drawing horses, always horses, according to a release from the East Fishkill Community Library. Her mother said the first word out of her mouth was "horse" and her love of them and animals in general is a large part of who she is, the release said. Navor's father was her biggest fan, mentor, art critic and source of encouragement and support. She …

Ossining High School Receives $250,000 For New Bleachers, Press Box OSSINING, N.Y. --  Ossining High School recently received $250,000 from the state for a new press box and bleachers at the school's football field.The bleachers and press box were recently completed and bring a whole new look to the football field. The bleachers will be able to hold more than 1,000 people and is also handicap accessible, according to the district. The new additions to the field come just in time for for the upcoming fall season.
