Ramsey Library Seeks Local Artists For Show
RAMSEY, N.J. -- The Ramsey Free Public Library is looking for artists and artisans for its premiere art show and sale Saturday, Oct. 1.Those interested in displaying and selling their art at the show can contact Barbara Puccia at (201) 327-1445 or barbara.puccia@ramsey.bccls.org.
The event, which is hosted by the Friends of the Ramsey Library, will include paintings, jewelry, ceramics, woodworks, ornaments, dolls, scarves and photography.
The event is from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. The library is at 30 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey.
Saddle Brook Student Earns $2,500 Scholarship
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Water Companies recently awarded a $2,500 scholarship to Ashley Vitiello, of Saddle Brook, who will be attending Montclair State University. Vitiello will major in the sciences and work toward a graduate degree in hydrology. In her scholarship essay, Vitiello wrote, “There is nothing more precious to mankind as clean, fresh water. It is a tragic fact that for so many people around the world, having access to water is so tenuous and difficult.”
