FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Theatre Fairfield, the resident production company at Fairfield University, will open its 2016-17 season with Hugh Whitemore’s award-winning 1983 drama "Pack of Lies," premiering Wednesday.Based on a true story, "Pack of Lies" centers on Barbara and Bob Jackson and their daughter, Julie, who in 1960, learn that their best friends and next-door neighbors, Helen and Peter Kroger, are spying for the Soviet Union.

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The 2016 Wreath Festival will kick off Friday, Nov. 18, with the Beefsteak Community Feast/benefit at Founders Hall in Ridgefield.
Beefsteak guests will be treated to a night of beef, booze and boisterous fun. The event will put a contemporary spin on a 19th-century New York City tradition when groups of men would gather in dingy taverns to tell stories, sing ditties, eat steak, drink beer with abandon and occasionally raise funds for a local politician, according to a release from Founders Hall.
