NORWALK, Conn. -- Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, D-Norwalk/Darien, and his family will host a free pasta dinner-dance on Saturday at the American Legion in Norwalk.Members of the Norwalk and Darien communities are invited to this event. Time To Rake the Leaves: Danbury Prepares For Fall Pickup
DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury's free Fall Leaf Pickup will start on Monday, Oct. 24, and will run for six weeks through Friday, Dec. 2.Only leaves bagged in paper leaf bags with no tape should be left at curbside in front of residences for the city’s Highway Department to pick up. Danbury Seeks State Help to Preserve Ruins of Hearthstone Castle
DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton met with state historic preservation officials on Tuesday to discuss the city’s concept for a walled garden at Hearthstone Castle.State officials agreed that the concept is the best use for the historic ruin and have even offered to seek additional state or federal funding on the city’s behalf.
