Fairfield Launches Free Diabetes Prevention Program FAIRFIELD, Conn. --  The Fairfield Health Department will offer Fairfield residents a free diabetes prevention program, starting Wednesday, Oct. 26.The program is the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Diabetes Prevention Program. The Fairfield Health Department is a recognized site to deliver the CDC's evidence-based program. To be eligible for the program, individuals need to be over 18 and diagnosed with pre-diabetes and/or at risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
