Greenwich Firefighters Deliver Thanksgiving Baskets To Comrades' Widows GREENWICH, Conn. --  Local firefighters helped brighten up the holidays Tuesday for some deserving Greenwich residents.They delivered Thanksgiving baskets to some of the widows of Greenwich firefighters and some residents in need. This is an annual tradition for Local 1042. Stop & Shop on West Putnam Avenue assisted the firefighters in putting together the food for each basket.

Darien School Stages Turkey Drive To Support Food Bank DARIEN, Conn. --  Darien's Holmes Elementary School's Kids Care Club and Student Council teamed up again this year to host the school-wide Turkey Drive for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. The drive was held on Thursday, Nov. 17. Once again, Palmer's Market had a turkey sale so parents could purchase turkeys there; and Dan Hageney of Connecticut Green delivered the turkeys to Holmes School for the turkey drive.
