Putnam Hospital Center Receives Outstanding Patient Experience Award CARMEL, N.Y. -- Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel was recently honored with the 2016 Outstanding Patient Experience Award from Healthgrades, representing the top 15 percent of hospitals in the nation to earn this distinction.Putnam Hospital Center was one of 448 hospitals in the country and only one of seven in New York to receive this honor. Midland School Plans Annual Parade, Fair RYE, N.Y. -- The Midland School in Rye will hold its annual parade and fair on Saturday, April 16. This year's theme is “Midland Blasts Through The Galaxy!”  The event will include a rock wall, a dunk tank, inflatable zip line, bumper cars and prizes. There will also be great food, a DJ and a raffle. The event will be launched by the annual parade through town led by Midland's fifth-graders. Participants will meet at the pavilion, and the hike will begin at 9 a.m. It will be of moderate difficulty and run for approximately two hours. Dress appropriately. Eastchester Music Students Visit Lincoln Center EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- A group of Eastchester Middle and High School music students visited David Geffen Hall in Lincoln Center recently, where they were able to view an open rehearsal of the New York Philharmonic.The program on March 17 included Shostakovich's "Suite from The Age of Gold," Sibelius' "Violin Concerto" featuring soloist Leonidas Kavakos, and a premiere of "Karawane" by Esa-Pekka Salonen, featuring New York Choral Artists on accompanying vocals.
