Ridgewood College Club Book Fair Begins Thursday
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. --Members of Ridgewood's College Club are having a used-book fair April 14 -17 at Somerville Elementary School in Ridgewood. Money from the book sale will go toward grants for women attending a four-year college or university. The sale not only raises a large portion of the money used for the grants but also provides a wonderful resource for the community, said College Club official Whitney Klein. Hudson Valley Community Center Schedules Live Jazz Series Concert
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Hudson Valley Community Center in Poughkeepsie will present its next monthly live jazz series concert on Wednesday, April 20. The concert will feature Latin jazz percussionist Tomas Martin Lopez and his band, Rhythm Rising. BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Middle School recently held its second annual Electricity and Magnetism Maker Faire, where sixth-graders used the two phenomena in their projects.
