Eastchester Celebrates The Environment With Annual Green Festival EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Eastchester will hold its eighth annual Green Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Town Hall.The event will celebrate Mother Earth with lots of activities, including a car show. Briarcliff Manor School District's Erica Beasley Wins Pioneer Award BRIARFCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Erica Beasley, Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District's director of technology, recently won the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center Pioneer Award for leadership and innovation in technology. Beasley was acknowledged during the LHRIC’s 2016 annual Pioneer Awards at Edith Macy Conference Center last month. The Pioneer Awards recognize innovative uses of technology that change teaching and learning. Beasley was honored for leading the district forward in its use of technology.

Shred Your Documents At Glen Rock Recycling Center GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Shredding will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Glen Rock Recycling Center. Please note all paperclips and binder clips should be removed from papers, though staples are OK. All papers should be removed from binders. Paper can be brought to the recycling center in plastic bags, but all plastic bags must be removed when shredding. Kent Library Celebrates Big Truck Day KENT LAKES, N.Y. -- More than 390 people, mostly parents and children, turned out to see the big trucks gathered at Kent Public Library on Saturday, June 4, for this year's "Big Truck and Community Vehicle Day." In addition to a fire truck, police van, construction equipment and well drillers, the event included a former tank belonging to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. Ramsey Schedules First 'Bike Rodeo' RAMSEY, N.J. -- Ramsey's inaugural "Bike Rodeo" will be Friday in the Ramsey Municipal Pool parking lot on East Oak Street.The bike skills and safety program will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m., weather permitting.
