Monroe Police K-9 Murphy To Get Bullet-Proof Vest MONROE, Conn. -- K-9 Murphy with the Monroe Police Department will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., and manufacturer Armor Express, the department announced recently. The new protective vest is part of an incentive program for which one free vest is awarded for every 15 vests purchased by the charity, the department said.
