Yorktown Emergency Services Display Work On Special Day YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- The 2nd Annual Yorktown Emergency Services & Truck Day will be held in Yorktown Heights on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 12 to 5 p.m. The event will be hosted by Yorktown Heights Engine Company No. 1, and the activities will include live demonstrations with helicopters, fire trucks, ambulances,  police cars, other equipment and town trucks. Saxophonist Jimmy Greene Performs In Danbury DANBURY, CONN. — Acclaimed saxophonist Jimmy Greene and his quartet will headline an evening of “Summer Breeze Jazz” on Friday at Ives Concert Park on the Western Connecticut State University Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. The concert, which will begin at 7 p.m., is part of Newtown Savings Bank Fine Arts and Family Series, with performances from trumpeter Dominick Farinacci and vocalist Gregory Generet. Njdot Announces Route 208 Repavings In Glen Rock, Hawthorne, Wyckoff, Frank WYCKOFF, N.J. — The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) recently announced the start a three-month project to improve Route 208 in both directions and on the on/off ramps in Glen Rock, Hawthorne, Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes and Oakland.
