Organic Market Open In Briarcliff Manor
BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Congregation Sons Of Israel is having its organic market from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The congregation currently is purchasing from organic growers but soon will be planting its own organic garden on its property and hopes to have Jewish farm/food education for children, teens and adults. Plank Pizza Beer Parlor Opens In Saddle Brook
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- The Plank Pizza Co. Beer Parlor recently opened in Saddle Brook. The menu offers eight different pizzas and eight different appetizers, and the bar has a wide beer selection. MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon City School District will host an important informational session starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Vernon High School, 100 California Road. The session is intended for parents of students who have been identified via assessment for the Gifted and Talented Programs in all 11 elementary schools.
