Oakland Library Transforms Into Mini-Golf Course OAKLAND, N.J. -- The New Friends of the Oakland Public Library are bringing mini-golf to the library from 5-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 18 and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19.It's a family-friendly event for all ages. Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Last tee times are 8:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Briarcliff Students Rally For NY School for the Deaf BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- When Briarcliff High School students Liza Pacchiana and Anjli Patel discovered that many families with deaf children live at or below the poverty level, they decided to help.Inspired to make a difference for these children, Pacchiana founded a new school club, Listening Without Sound, and encouraged her classmates to join. The club has 10 members and two volunteer advisors, Rosemarie Huber and Mary Oliver.
