RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck will present its first night of stand-up comedy on Friday, May 27. The event will be hosted by comedian Spencer Lynds. More than a dozen of Hudson Valley's favorite up-and-coming comics will take the stage. The event is not suitable for all ages. Tickets are $7 per person and can be purchased online. POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Poughkeepsie Farm Project (PFP) will hold its annual plant sale over the next two Saturdays, May 7 and 14. New Rochelle Holds Successful Special Education Workshops for Parents
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle School District's Department of Special Education collaborated with the Mid-Westchester Parent Center to provide two workshops in Spanish for parents of students with disabilities. The workshops were sponsored by the Westchester Institute of Human Development, a National Program of Excellence which studies issues related to providing quality programs for persons with developmental disabilities. New Rochelle High School students with developmental disabilities who participate in a community-based culinary arts program prepared the food for attendees.
