Learn CPR In Free Course At Sunshine Children's Home In New Castle
NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- The Sunshine Children’s Home, a long-term pediatric care facility for children with complex medical needs, will host a free Family & Friends CPR course on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. - noon, in the main building of the home in western New Castle.This American Heart Association workshop is for people who would like to learn the valuable skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but do not need a course completion certificate, according to the AHA.

Truck Day Continues At Pocantico Hills School
SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Eleven local “big rigs” were driven to Pocantico Hills Central School in Sleepy Hollow on Friday, May 13, for “Truck Day,” a school tradition that has been taking place since the ‘90s. The big rig professionals shared information about the trucks and their work, answering questions, and doing a real-life show and tell.
Students from grades pre-K through four toured the trucks inside and out, with opportunities to go inside some of them and sit behind the wheel.
Declan, a guide dog, was also on hand, and he proved very popular with the students.
