A woman died eight days after she was struck by a vehicle in Pennsylvania, authorities announced on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Mary A. Pavlik, 81 of Lehighton, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest at 11:05 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, according to the Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
Pavlik was a pedestrian when she was struck at the intersection of Iron and South Third streets in Lehighton Borough, Carbon County, at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, Buglio said.

A 16-year-old boy was behind the wheel of a speeding pickup truck that ran a stop sign and slammed into a car, killing two people in Virginia, police said.
The victims have been identified as Jose E. Lovo, 70, and Guadalupe Alvarez de Lovo, 54, both of Manassas, according to an update from Prince William County police on Monday, Oct. 26.
The deadly crash happened shortly before midnight on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the intersection of Leland Road and Maplewood Drive in Manassas, where a 2024 GMC Sierra collided with a 2004 Honda Civic.

A 24-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Brick Saturday, Oct. 24, authorities said.
At 11:30 p.m., Brick police responded to Brick Boulevard and North Lake Shore Drive after a pedestrian was struck by Ford Taurus traveling southbound, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. The pedestrian, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, Billhimer said.
The driver of the Taurus continued traveling a short distance on Brick Boulevard before pulling over and walking back to the scene of the crash, Billhimer said.

Ringwood Motorcyclist, 36, Killed In Wayne Crash Involving Van, Jeep
A 36-year-old Ringwood man was killed in a crash involving his motorcycle, a van and a Jeep in Wayne on Friday morning, Oct. 23, authorities said.
The crash happened near Hamburg Turnpike and Black Oak Ridge Road around 7:14 a.m., according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief Joseph Rooney.
The motorcyclist collided with two other vehicles, a Ford Transit Sprinter van and a Jeep Wrangler, authorities said.
