Car Slams Into Building In Larchmont, Renders Part Of It Uninhabitable A portion of a building in Westchester County will remain uninhabitable after a car crashed into it, fire officials said.   The incident happened on Gilder Street in Larchmont at around 2:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, according to Larchmont Fire Chief Richard Valentine.  Firefighters were initially dispatched for a report of a car into a building.
