Child Struck With Wire, Woman Injured In Lower Swatara Disturbance By Middletown Man: Police
A man is accused of striking a child with a wire and shoving a woman to the ground during a disturbance, police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
Logan Thomas Ecker, 37, of Middletown, was arrested after officers responded to the 1900 block of Oberlin Road in Middletown on Sunday, Feb. 15, according to Lower Swatara Township Police.
Ecker was charged with Felony Endangering the Welfare of Children and Simple Assault, police said.
It is alleged that Ecker struck a child with a wire, causing “a large welt mark” on the child’s back, according to the release.

A Kansas man who attacked a flight attendant on a plane leaving Bradley International Airport in Connecticut will avoid prison time, federal authorities announced.
Julius Jordan Priester, 25, of Wichita, was sentenced in federal court in Bridgeport on Tuesday, Jan. 20, according to the US Attorney for the District of Connecticut. A federal judge ordered Priester to serve one year of probation and pay a $500 fine.
The incident happened on May 27, 2025, aboard American Airlines Flight 3359, authorities said.
