Winner! Hudson County Lotto Player Nets $30K It was a Friday to remember for a lottery player in Secaucus. A Mega Millions ticket sold at a Sunoco in the township matched four of the five numbers along with the gold mega ball earning the winner $30,000 in the drawing held on Friday, Dec. 8. The winning numbers were 21, 26, 53, 66, 70 and the Mega Ball was 13.

Two Dead After Car Fleeing Police Strikes Taxi: State AG A police encounter turned deadly on Sunday, Dec. 10 in Elizabeth, after a car fleeing officers crashed into a taxi, killing the driver and passenger, authorities said. At 5:42 a.m., police responded to a report of gunfire near Fourth and Center Street, the state attorney general's office said. Police followed a vehicle of interest, which then collided with the taxi at Grand Street and Routes 1 and 9, the state attorney's general office said. Man Found In Hackensack River Was Killed In Shooting: Prosecutors (Update) A man found dead in the Hackensack River on Saturday, Dec. 9, died after being shot in the upper body, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Dive teams and fire departments from across North Jersey responded to the Hackensack River along the eastern spur of the New Jersey Turnpike and found the man just after 5:30 p.m., Suarez said. NJ Man Sentenced For Making Teen Sexually Abuse 4-Year-Old, Record It: Prosecutors A 32-year-old Hudson County man was sentenced to prison for making a teen boy sexually abused a child and record it, prosecutors said. Joseph Suarez, of West New York, was sentenced to 15 years in prison last week after he pleaded guilty to instructing a 13-year-old boy to sexually abuse a 4-year-old girl and send him recordings of it, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Porch Pirate Snatched $1K In Packages: Bayonne PD A 30-year-old Bayonne man was arrested on Friday, Dec. 8 after snatching packages in the city in November, authorities said. Juan Bonaci Leon stole delivered packages worth $1,000 from a man's porch at 11th Street and JFK Boulevard on Sunday, Nov. 19, police said. George Santos Is Out: Here's How NJ Delegates Voted New Jersey's congressional delegation all shared the same sentiment when it comes to Rep. George Santos. They wanted him out, and they got it. The serial fabulist (R-Long Island) was expelled by the US House 311-114, with all 12 New Jersey representatives, including three Republicans, voting in favor of his ouster.
