'Hawks Over The Hudson' Returns To Alpine
ALPINE, N.J. -- State Line Lookout in Alpine, in Palisades Interstate Park, will host a special nature event called “Hawks Over the Hudson," on Sunday, Oct. 2, from noon - 4 p.m., rain or shine. The program will feature live birds of prey presented by the Delaware Valley Raptor Center at 1 and 2:30 p.m.
Between the programs, visitors will have a opportunity to see the animals up close, chat with the presenters and enjoy activities and exhibits presented by some of the member organizations of the Nature Program Cooperative, an affiliation of local nature centers and environmental group…
Walk/Run At Paramus College Benefits Cancer Patients
PARAMUS, N.J. --The 2016 Paramus Walk/Run for Hope will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, at Bergen Community College in Paramus, rain or shine. The event was organized to provide hope and help to anyone affected by cancer. It will raise funds and awareness about CancerCare’s free, professional services, which is available to anyone facing a cancer diagnosis.

Darien Y Schedules First Mind, Body, Spirit Festival
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien YMCA will host its inaugural Mind*Body*Spirit Festival on Saturday, Sept. 17.
A variety of the Y’s yoga and meditation instructors, stand up paddleboarding coaches, rock wall guides, and personal trainers, will lead special workshops throughout the day; these activities are designed to enhance the mind, body and spirit.
