Guitarist To Perform Free Recital At New Canaan Library NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Brooklyn-based musician Carlos Pavan will perform a free guitar recital in the Adrian Lamb Room at the New Canaan Library on Saturday, Feb. 13.Pavan is a new wave of guitar composers with a mix of tradition and influences. Versatile and original, he blends folkloric rhythms from his native Argentina with New York jazz harmonies and classical technique/forms. President Thanks Eagle Scout for Building Picnic Tables EASTON, Conn. -- Eagle Scout Michael Waugh built two fantastic picnic tables for the Easton Volunteer Fire Company.The department was very appreciative of the time and effort Waugh and the Scouts put into building the tables. Fire Company President Casey Meskers personally thanked Waugh for his work. The department plans to use the picnic tables for rest breaks during drills and the sharing of many meals in the future, according to a statement on the company's Facebook page.
