Body Recovered From Passaic River: Newark Police A man's body was recovered from the Passaic River on the morning of Thursday, June 15, authorities said. At 8:06 a.m. police responded to the 700 block of Raymond Boulevard/Riverbank Park on a call of a body in the Passaic River, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.  Officers found and recovered the body, and the male victim was pronounced dead soon after, Fragé said.  The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.

At 4:11 p.m., Summit Police began to follow a 2019 Audi A5 that was reported stolen in Montclair. Union Woman Killed In Summit Car Crash (Updated) A 51-year-old Union woman was killed in a one-car crash in Summit on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 13, police said. The crash occurred on Orchard Street and Harvard Street, police said. The unidentified woman was driving a 2005 white, four-door Toyota Camry at a high rate of speed when her vehicle struck a tree, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The cause of the accident is under investigation, police said.
