Many community members and local hospitals have gotten involved in the “Little Hats, Big Hearts" campaign, organized by the American Heart Association (AHA), to help bring attention to congenital heart defects.The AHA, in connection with The Children's Heart Foundation, is offering the “Little Hats, Big Hearts” program for the second year in a row locally.

Black History Month Book Fair Comes To Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Black History Month Book Fair opened on Thursday at SUNY Purchase College Center for Community and Culture, "PC4," at 16 Warburton Avenue in the Yonkers Downtown Waterfront Arts District.
The two-day event continues at PC4 on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Boces Culinary Student Chops, Cooks His Way To Food Network Crown
VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Dante Giannini, a 2006 graduate of the Southern Western BOCES Culinary Arts Program, was recently crowned champion of the latest season of “Chopped,” the Food Network’s cooking game show.
Giannini, also an Eastchester High School graduate, claimed the $10,000 first prize last month when he went up against three other chefs from restaurants across the country.
