White Plains Middle School Students Raise Over $2,000 At Milk Carton Drive
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Students in Team 8D at Highlands Middle School in White Plains participated in their Third annual Milk Carton Fundraiser this year.
The students raised more than $2,000 for their selected foundation, Candlelighters NYC, an organization dedicated to helping families get through the difficult times when a child is diagnosed with and being treated for cancer.
Candlelighters helps families by providing things like family support, food, material necessities, clothing, babysitting, and anything else that may brighten the day of a child battling cancer.

West Point Cadets Raise More Than $20K For Maria Fareri Children's Hospital
VALHALLA, N.Y. -- The Westchester Medical Center Health Network recently announced that the cadets at West Point have become the fifth group of college students to support Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, through a multi-hour, Dance Marathon.
The cadets held their inaugural, six-hour, Dance Marathon at West Point event recently at Cullum Hall on the campus of the United States Military Academy and raised $20,217, doubling their original $10,000 goal, according to a release from the Weschester Medical Center.

Librarians Share Their Cultural Journey To Hemingway's Cuba In Larchmont
LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Librarians Nancy Coradin and Diana Lennon will give a talk on their trip to Havana, Cuba, with a focus on American novelist Ernest Hemingway’s time there, Thursday, March 23, at the Larchmont Public Library.
The visit offered them access to current Cuban literature and provided a bridge to connect and engage with Cuban librarians to discuss libraries, their services, their history and their future, according to a release from the Larchmont Public Library.
