Poughkeepsie Bookstore Helps Kids Create Mother's Day Cards POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Children who visit the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District’s Bookstore from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 will be able to create a Mother’s Day card with the help of store volunteers. All necessary craft materials will be provided at the store, and children will create cards under the supervision of Dutchess County artist Yvonne Laube and other Friends volunteers.
