Westport Police Seek Donations For Annual Holiday Toy Drive WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Westport Police Department Union Local 2080 and Police Benevolent Association are hosting their annual Holiday Toy Drive this month. The drive provides toys for underprivileged children throughout Fairfield County and beyond. It has been extremely successful in the past, allowing for thousands of toys to be distributed to children who otherwise would have none, according to a release from the Westport Police Department. Danbury Firefighters Receive Donation Of Pet Oxygen Masks DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Volunteer Firemen’s Council accepted a donation at its recent meeting that will help save the lives of family pets when they are victims of smoke inhalation in home fires. Canine Company donated 12 sets of the specially designed oxygen masks for pets – one for each fire company -- to the council. When fire strikes at home, the family pets are often at greatest risk.
